Main Nutrition is an informational software tool designed for personal lifestyle and nutrition tracking. It is NOT a medical device, licensed medical doctor, healthcare provider, or registered clinical dietitian. The content, algorithmic calculations, AI insights, and Safe Choice warnings are provided for general educational purposes only.
Table of Contents
1. No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Using Main Nutrition does not create a doctor-patient, dietitian-client, or other professional healthcare relationship between you and Main Nutrition or its developers. None of the AI recommendations, meal suggestions, chat responses, or automated Nutri-Agent restock lists should be construed as medical diagnosis, prescription, or treatment.
Always seek the guidance of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, dietary change, or metabolic concern. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking medical attention because of information retrieved from Main Nutrition.
2. AI Vision & Nutritional Approximations
Our platform uses Google Gemini Vision and multimodal algorithms to recognize food and estimate nutritional values (calories, protein, fats, carbohydrates, fiber, sodium, caffeine).
- Optical Approximations: AI vision estimates portion volumes and ingredients from 2D photographs. Actual caloric and macronutrient density can vary considerably depending on hidden ingredients, cooking fats, marinades, sodium levels, and serving sizes.
- Not Laboratory Chemical Assays: Do not rely on AI nutrition estimates for precise insulin dosing, clinical metabolic management, or critical medical treatments.
3. High-Risk & Sensitive Populations
- Individuals with a history of or active eating disorders (such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or binge eating disorder).
- Individuals with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, particularly those prescribed insulin or hypoglycemic medications.
- Individuals with chronic renal (kidney), hepatic (liver), or cardiovascular disease.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, whose caloric and nutrient requirements must be managed by obstetric care providers.
- Children and adolescents under the age of 18 who are undergoing active physiological growth and development.
- Individuals taking prescription medications that require food intake at specific intervals.
4. Intermittent Fasting Hazards
Main Nutrition includes fasting interval clocks (such as 16:8, 18:6, or circadian fasting). Fasting can induce physiological stress and carry risks including:
- Hypoglycemia (dangerous drops in blood sugar), dizziness, fainting, or cognitive impairment.
- Severe electrolyte imbalances and dehydration if adequate liquid and mineral intake is not maintained.
- Gastrointestinal distress, acid reflux, or gallbladder issues upon re-feeding.
If you experience persistent dizziness, severe fatigue, heart palpitations, or fainting during a fast, break your fast immediately and seek medical attention.
5. Caloric Deficits & Extreme Diets
Aggressive calorie restriction (consuming below basal metabolic requirements for extended periods) can lead to muscle wasting, metabolic adaptation, hormonal dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, and immune suppression. Main Nutrition sets conservative baseline thresholds, but you are responsible for maintaining a safe, sustainable nutritional balance.
6. Allergens, Additives & Safe Choice Radar
The Safe Choice Radar and E-Decoder are supplementary informational tools based on database cross-referencing. THEY CANNOT AND DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT A PRODUCT IS 100% FREE OF ALLERGENS OR CROSS-CONTAMINATION.
Food manufacturers frequently alter ingredient formulas, production lines, and packaging without prior notice. Cross-contact with severe allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, sesame) can occur during processing. Always read the physical manufacturer label and packaging warning before consuming any product if you have a known food allergy.
7. Wearable Sync & Vitals Accuracy
Data synced from Google Fit, Apple Health, smartwatches, and fitness trackers (including step counts, heart rates, active calories, and sleep stages) relies on optical and accelerometer sensors with known standard error margins. Main Nutrition does not guarantee the physiological precision of third-party sensor hardware.
8. Medical Emergency Procedures
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), chest pain, severe hypoglycemia, or acute distress:
• United States & Canada: Dial 911
• European Union & UK: Dial 112 or 999
• International: Contact your local national emergency department or go to the nearest emergency room.
